Youth Services Specialist, Colorado, USA.
The Pikes Peak Behavioral Group is seeking a youth services specialist for Workout Limited programme.
Responsible for providing case management, career and development services, community living skills, and Restorative Justice based services to youth coming from various backgrounds and referral sources. Responsible for providing youth opportunities to identify strengths, resources, and interests in order to work towards becoming self sufficient, contributing members of the community. Responsible for utilizing Restorative Justice Practices for the coordination and facilitation of Victim/Offender Mediations and other conferencing services while advocating for victims involved in the process.
Experience:
- BA in Human Service related field preferred
- One (1) year experience working with youth
- Experience in case management
- Computer knowledge and the ability to operate all programs within Microsoft Office Suite
- Accurately type 35+ w.p.m.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills, including tact and diplomacy when dealing with the public/staff
- Ability to interact and work with youth of all ages and coming from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to develop and maintain working, professional relationships with business partners and referral sources
- Experience in working with at-risk youth or youth with disabilities preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Restorative Justice Practices and the Criminal Justice System preferred, but not required
